Self storage insurance is important when storing your goods. While we provide state of the art security measure to keep your valuables safe, it is impossible to guarantee 100% safety to your items. Mother nature can be very unpredictable, and even the most secure self storage units can succumb to strong winds or flooding.

Accidents do happen as well. If batteries get too hot they may explode. If items are not stored properly, moisture, dust, or insects could destroy them. While we prohibit the storage of fuel in our units, if you forgetfully store any flammables inside, then there is a chance they could combust and destroy everything. These are just a few of the many examples of why you may want to consider self storage insurance for your personal items.

The goods you place in self storage spaces are the sole responsibility of you, their owner. Your goods ARE NOT insured by Henlopen Storage. Please check with your home owner’s insurance provider to see if your coverage already has a provision for items stored outside your home.

You may already be covered for self storage insurance on your policy. If you are not already covered, coverage can most likely be added to your existing policy. Customer goods storage insurance information is available in the rental office.
